We’re delighted to be opening the doors of Studio AVC once again as part of this year’s Open House Festival.
Join us at our studio in the historic 1929 Shop at Merton Abbey Mills for The Crafted Environment — a short talk exploring William Morris, the Arts & Crafts movement, and how its principles of craftsmanship, materials and thoughtful design continue to influence our work today.
Following the talk, we’ll take a guided walk through Merton Abbey Mills, exploring the fascinating architectural and industrial heritage of this unique riverside site. Along the way, we’ll discover its historic buildings and restored watermills, pottery, theatre and working creative studios, before finishing at the Merton Priory Chapter House.
