Ayca Vural-Cutts

Ayca qualified in architecture and has 20 years post-qualification experience. After working in architectural and senior design roles at Foster+Partners and Zaha Hadid Architects, she set up Studio AVC in 2013.

Working for these practices, she has been involved in a range of international iconic projects including: the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Riyadh; the Khan Shatyry Entertainment Centre, the tallest tensile structure in the world; and the Palace of Peace in Astana which was designed and built in less than two years.

She has contributed to the design of many mixed-used developments such as the Hermitage Towers in Paris, the Seattle Civic Center and Al Faisaliah II in Riyadh, a winning competition scheme for a 426 m mixed-use tower.

She has been involved in many early design and feasibility studies for substantial projects such as the Banyan Tree and Mauritius Resort for villas and a hotel, a master plan for Duna Passage, a master plan for Slussen in Stockholm, Exeter College in Oxford and many feasibility studies in London.

Through these schemes and others, she has gained experience in all aspects of design, from concept design through to construction stage and site support and worked in close collaboration with clients, contractors and consultants.

Ayca also provides design consultancy on large scale projects and is a member of  Merton Council and Wandsworth Council’s Design Review Panels for Wandsworth and Richmond. She also writes monthly articles for international architectural magazines and teaches interior design at South Thames College.

With a background in interior design and architecture, she brings a holistic approach to building design.
