Norfolk House
The project involved a full refurbishment of the existing house and an extension towards the rear garden, transforming the property into a stunning and sustainable living space.
Sustainability at Its Core:
- Designed as a passive house, the project emphasizes energy efficiency and environmental consciousness.
- We’ve incorporated advanced systems like Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) to ensure optimal indoor air quality and energy savings.
- A rainwater harvesting system has been installed to reduce water usage and support sustainable living.
- Solar energy powers the home, minimizing its carbon footprint and harnessing renewable resources.
The ground floor layout allows the living area to be more efficient and unifies the living spaces to create an open‐plan space. Full height doors allow the living spaces to open to the garden, connecting inside and out. The main living areas are fully glazed, achieving maximum transparency and panoramic views over the fields. The first floor of the property where the views become outstanding has also been extended to maximise the floor area and create a master bedroom with an en‐suite bathroom.
The journey from concept to near-completion has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to see the finished house!
