Beyazıt State Library Wins Best Public Sector Project at World Interior News Awards

Beyazıt State Library has been awarded Best Public Sector Project at the prestigious World Interior News Awards, recognising excellence in interior architecture, cultural preservation, and public design.

The award celebrates the sensitive and innovative transformation of one of Istanbul’s most important historic libraries, where contemporary design interventions sit in harmony with heritage architecture. The project sets a benchmark for how public cultural buildings can be revitalised while respecting their historical significance.

It was a great honour to receive the award on behalf of our client, Tabanlıoğlu Architects, whose vision and leadership were central to the success of this internationally recognised project.

This recognition highlights the growing global appreciation for thoughtfully designed public spaces that enhance accessibility, learning, and cultural engagement.
